Bali Garden Beach Resort

I've returned to Bali Garden Beach Resort several times, and it keeps drawing me back whenever I'm in Kuta. It's close to shops, restaurants, and the discovery mall, yet the resort itself feels peaceful. The gardens are lovely, the pools are a great place to relax, and the rooms have always been clean, comfortable, and equipped with what I need. The staff are genuinely welcoming and go out of their way to help. The BraodWalk Restutant has consistently good food. It's great value, and I'd happily recommend it. This visit did feel busier with kids, so it wasn't as quiet as some earlier stays.

We've been coming here for years and will be back in July 2026. The staff are wonderful and always do everything they can for you. I love the garden treatment rooms at Tari Spa, they're so relaxing, and the treatments are good value. Breakfast is hard to beat, with eggs and pancakes made to order, plus fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, bacon, sausage, and plenty more. We also love The Boardwalk, Warung Damar and Aribar. The rooms are bright and clean, the aircon works really well, and the outdoor areas are beautifully kept. There are several lovely pools and plenty of seating. This is our favourite place to stay in Bali.

The biggest problem during our visit was a major breach restoration project. We couldn't use the beach, and there was building noise and mess. Reaching Kuta beach meant a 10 minute walk past rubbish and stray dogs. It wasn't the hotel's fault, but advance notice would have been helpful. If you're travelling in the next year, check on the work first. The hotel itself has a slightly rustic chic feel, and its age adds to the atmosphere. Our villa was spacious, though sparsely furnished; friends had rooms that were well proportioned and equipped. The gardens make it feel almost like a jungle. Staff were friendly and quick to address issues, and the food and massages were good value. The pools were great, though the main one could get rowdy. The other guests, mostly Aussies, were friendly.

The breakfast buffet is Devine, and my favourite restaurant is the Boardwalk Restaurant. All the restaurants are great and suit different moods, whether you want a relaxed meal, formal dining, or a night of dancing. The service from Craig the Manager and the rest of the staff is outstanding. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and meet your needs. We've stayed here many times, and the hospitality never disappoints. Over the years, I've seen staff stay on, and happy staff provide excellent service. After trying many places to stay in Bali, we wouldn't choose anywhere else. It's a home away from home. Thanks for the memories, Bali Garden Family. We'll be back!!!
