I spent a lot of time in the saltwater pool, which was just the right temperature and, oddly, almost always empty. The pool view suite was the largest room, with a comfortable bed, shades that blocked most of the sun, a good shower, and a big balcony with a sofa lounger and table. The hotel itself is small, quiet, and stylish, with a long pool, black-and-white tiles, chandeliers, and palm trees. Wi-Fi was good, the AC was strong, and the room had a fridge, hair dryer, and safe. The staff were polite and kind, kept the grounds in good shape, and communicated proactively on WhatsApp before check-in and during my stay. I didn’t use them, but they also offer affordable in-room massages and breakfast. Seminyak beach is about a five-minute walk away, nice for sunset. There are simple tables for coconut or beers, loungers for rent at 50K IDR, and several high-end beach clubs nearby. It’s outside the busy center, so there aren’t many places right around it, though two or three good restaurants and convenience stores are walkable. Grab can pick you up at the door for trips farther out. The biggest hassle was the door, which didn’t close properly unless I kept locking it from both inside and outside. Otherwise, cold air escaped. I’d have liked a do not disturb or please clean room sign. One morning I slept in and woke up to someone asking whether I wanted the room cleaned. The street leading to the hotel looked a bit dodgy, though it felt safe, and the hotel name wasn’t clearly marked, so it was hard to find. Luckily someone greeted me when I arrived.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with a great shower. Staff were wonderful too, helping us store a suitcase and arrange the welcome surprise shown in the photo, at no extra cost. Casa Artista is set away from the main roads, so it’s peaceful, though the walk to the beach is a little longer. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it.

It was nice having a pool right outside the room, and the room itself was spacious, with a large bathroom. The place feels cosy and is away from the crowds and noise. You can walk around easily, and getting a taxi bike is super easy too.

There may be a few small flaws, but the place is nice. The staff were fantastic, especially the guy who looked after us. I’m sorry I can’t remember his name, he was incredibly helpful with everything. Thanks, bro!
