The swimming pool was the one good part. It was well kept and a nice place to relax. The rest of my stay was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend staying here unless they make major improvements. Cleanliness was poor, with dirt everywhere and a general feeling of neglect. The bathtub clogged and then started filling with worms. The shower had almost no pressure, the water smelled unpleasant, and the promised hot water stayed cold. Sometimes no water came from the taps at all, which made basic hygiene difficult. It was also noisy enough to make sleeping hard. There were ants all over, and I came across a lot of cockroaches during my stay.
We found four cockroaches during our five nights, including on the last night. The room felt gross and humid, and I got acne and skin irritation from how dirty it was. My friend said they'd rather sleep on the floor, and honestly, same. The sheets were stained, the pillows were wet, and everything smelled like sweat. The bathroom was tiny, dirty, rusty, and full of insects. This is not a 3-star hotel. More like 3-star trauma. Do not stay here.
We got there around 10 PM to check in, but the place was so filthy and unacceptable that we had to leave and look for somewhere else. We wandered around until 1 AM trying to find a place to sleep because there was no way we could stay. The sheets clearly hadn't been changed and looked used by the previous guest. There were personal items left behind, trash bags at the entrance, and no toilet paper in the bathroom. The photos speak for themselves.
The location is good, the mattress was comfortable, and the room had AC. It's cheap and in the middle of Kuta, so if you only need an inexpensive bed with AC and don't care about anything else, it might work. But the room didn't look like the Agoda pictures at all. Those seemed to be from when the place first opened, with lights by the bed, curtains, clean sheets, and no dirty spots. Now it feels like it's been used without care or maintenance. The toilet was dirty and old, there were ants, the shower and tap had low pressure, and there was no toilet paper. I arrived on a night flight just to sleep, then saw the sheets had makeup on them and looked like they'd been washed weeks ago. I was exhausted, so I slept in my clothes and covered the pillow with a T-shirt. The next day, I asked housekeeping to change the sheets and she kindly helped. Housekeeping only spends about five minutes in the room, picking up rubbish and sweeping the floor, which explains why the room and toilet were like that. On my last day, after two nights, I was about to check out when I noticed an Agoda email saying my booking had been cancelled for no show. I was reading and writing this from the room, so I don't understand why they marked it that way, and I couldn't change it on Agoda. That's why I'm writing this.
The second dorm I was moved to hadn't been cleaned or tidied. Toothbrushes, shower things, and rubbish from the previous guests were still there. The beds hadn't been freshly made, the room stank, and the shower water smelled like toilet wastewater. I felt completely uncomfortable and can't understand how anyone can rent a room like that. I had booked a “single room deluxe,” expecting a room to myself, but it turned out to be an eight-person dorm. They said it was called that because I would have my own bed, as if sharing one would be even nicer. Then I was told no one else had booked that night and I'd be alone. When I went out to look around and came back, other people were in the room. After I complained again, they moved me to another dormitory, which was in the state I described.
