The mattress was one of the comfiest I’ve slept on, and the room was spacious, with a sofa too. The location was good, and we had a pleasant stay overall. I’d recommend it, as long as you keep in mind that it’s a very cheap place and won’t be perfect. The bathroom and kitchenette sink weren’t very clean, and seemed like they hadn’t had a strong chemical clean in a while. The shower curtain was dirty and smelled bad, so I’d rather they removed it. The bathroom drains smelled like poo, something I’ve come across a lot in Asia where sewage plumbing isn’t very good. The towel rail was broken, and there weren’t many other places to hang towels, so they started smelling damp after a few days. You get a lot for the price, though.

The staff were really, really helpful and friendly, and the location worked well. There’s a convenience store right by the entrance, and shops and restaurants on the main road are less than a 10-minute walk away. Some coffee shops and restaurants are just a minute away on foot. The room was huge, almost like a small apartment, with a mini fridge, TV, and couch. It was generally clean, though the bathroom and kitchen sink weren’t fully cleaned. That wasn’t a big deal for me.

The staff were extremely kind and quick to clean the rooms, and they did a good job. When I had a sore throat, they even brought me warm water. The rooms are spacious, the AC works well, and the Wi-Fi is better near reception. It’s also one of the more affordable places in Seminyak, close enough to the beach and center. But the sewage smell overshadowed everything else. The first room we saw, at the far end of the property, looked comfortable and spacious but had an overpowering smell. We asked to move, and the second room seemed fine for a day before the smell came back in waves. The owners need to figure out what’s wrong with the sewage system. It must have a blockage somewhere to smell that bad. We’d paid for a few nights in advance, so unfortunately we couldn’t leave. I couldn’t wait to get out and wouldn’t stay again.

The room was big and the bed was super comfortable, and the staff were lovely in a great location. But a really overpowering chemical-like smell seemed to come from the bathroom. It gave me a headache and didn’t ease up during the two days we were there. I couldn’t have stayed any longer with that smell.
