Kuta Paradise 777

I arrived to check in around midnight, exhausted and ready to sleep, but nobody was at reception. I called the large number they’d provided and scanned the QR code at the desk to use the check-in link. After about 30 minutes, a woman passing by asked if I needed to check in. I explained that the guard wasn’t there, and that I’d been waiting and messaging the number on WhatsApp without a reply. She offered to call her. About five minutes later the guard/receptionist appeared, looking dazed and as if she’d just woken up. I was really annoyed. If that woman hadn’t woken her, I might have been stuck sleeping in my car until morning, waiting for the guard to wake up in a room only the maid knew how to find. The room was also very dirty. The floor was dusty and sticky, like it hadn’t been swept or mopped, and the tables were dusty too. The cups and spoons were dirty and rusty, and there wasn’t any drinking water. Only the lamp table near the bed seemed clean. It’s in a convenient spot by the roadside in the Legian area, and seems busy, which made the state of the room all the more strange. There were a few good things: the water heater worked, the bathtub was clean with clear water, not yellow or green, and the TV was smart so I could watch Netflix if bored. But honestly, I was fed up.

The room smelled fresh and was clean. For 300, the nice bonus was getting a bathtub and a smart TV.

The bathtub is huge for a place that costs around IDR 300,000. I had a really great stay here.

The staff were very good, and the rooms were clean. With Kuta Beach nearby, the location works well. I felt very comfortable staying here. 😊
