Oasis Kuta

The pool and sunbeds are the best part, and the food is decent. Staff are friendly and kind. The rooms and bathrooms could be cleaner, though they're acceptable, and the ceiling leaks in some rooms. I'd say it's about what you'd expect from a three-star hotel. It's fine if you mainly need somewhere to sleep, have the occasional drink by the pool, and don't plan many activities or much time indoors.

The pool is large and the hotel's main draw, and I'd recommend the place for backpackers traveling in a group. The entrance is very narrow, though, so I wouldn't recommend driving your own car. It's in the center of Kuta, with a spacious room that has a king-size bed and an extra spare bed. The bathroom and toilet are separate. Breakfast doesn't offer much choice.

For 90,000 IDR a night, this hotel was amazing. The woman who's usually at the counter was very helpful and spoke English perfectly. I wish the sheets were fitted, since they kept slipping off. My wife was put off by the green pool water, so we didn't swim, and I think the pool was closed for part of our stay.

I wouldn't bother booking here. The room was called deluxe, but it didn't feel that way. The bed seemed fine, but the dirt was everywhere: floor, walls, shower, towels, even the table. Other guests mention the cleanliness too. Do they clean at all, or care? You can get a better hotel for about the same price.
