Pesona Beach Inn

The pool is lovely, and the rooms get cleaned every day. Good for backpackers, but there are lots of stairs to the upper floors, so you’ll need to be fit. Highly recommend.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. The room was filthy, smelly, and very old, with vile bedding, cracked walls, and taps with plant life growing on them. It was so hot that it felt like a health risk. There was no toilet paper, kettle, or TV, and they wouldn’t even give me hot water or a fork. I could never get hold of staff. People asked me to buy drugs every day, and there was a brothel right outside. The pool can be used, but it belongs to another hotel, despite the advert making it sound like part of Persona Inn, and they don’t seem to want you using it. It was seriously overpriced and nowhere near worth the money.

I needed an inexpensive place in a hurry after my plans changed, and Persona Beach Inns had options. You get what you pay for, but for the price it’s good value. The service and staff are the real bright spot. The location is a gem too, with a straight walk down the road to Kuta Beach, Hard Rock Cafe, or whatever takes your fancy in Kuta, day or night.

The rooms are dark, the bathrooms have no latch, and the staff were rude and discourteous. I checked in around 8 PM and asked the receptionist to fix the bathroom door so it would stay shut. She yelled that I shouldn’t complain to her because I booked through Agoda, told me to complain to them, and said I could cancel if I wanted. After I contacted Agoda and asked to cancel, the furious staff told me to leave immediately, using foul language. They don’t know how to treat guests.
