The pool was refreshing, but there weren’t enough pool towels, and we were told to use the old, holey towels from our rooms. Villa Asih looks much better online than it does in person. It feels old and tired and needs a major renovation. There’s room for 12 or more guests to sleep, but the outdoor seating is too limited for everyone to gather and is scattered around the house. At about AUD$1000 for three nights, I expected the owner to include Wi-Fi instead of charging us AUD$10. The main-street traffic was noisy from early morning until late at night. We weren’t impressed.

We had 13 family members staying here, and the six-room claim didn’t match what we found. Two rooms felt makeshift, while only the four in the main building were good. The gas wasn’t available when we arrived, then the water pump burned out twice in one day. That left everyone uncomfortable, and we had to leave the house just to freshen up. Staff were hard to reach once they’d left. The owner did respond, but she was too far away to help in person, so problems took a long time to sort out.

The pool was being renovated when we arrived in Nov18, so the website photos need updating. Bring your own toilet paper and drinking water. We stayed six nights with 12 people and had to beg for fresh towels after three days. They gave us four, and there were no pool towels. Such a letdown. I’ve been to Bali many times, and this was the worst and most expeno.

We had a great stay here in Nov 2016 with 10 friends. The villa was clean, with plenty of space and really comfortable beds. Breakfast was made by the staff every morning, and the pool and garden were lovely. Legian road is just a short walk away, with lots of restaurants and bars within five minutes. Great villa in a great spot.
