The room was spacious, with two bedrooms, a balcony and hanging rack, nice showers, and free drinking water. We had a pleasant three-night stay in the three-bedroom penthouse on the fourth floor, though there were a couple of mix-ups. Getting checked in was easy, and the staff welcomed us warmly. The location was convenient enough for the airport, with convenience stores and fast food nearby. Seminyak and Kuta are a bit farther away, as you'd expect from the booking, but Grab made getting around easy. The lift was under maintenance when we arrived. We were told it would be fixed the next day, and staff helped carry our luggage upstairs, but it stayed out of order for our whole visit. It would be better not to promise a repair date, especially since stairs are difficult for anyone injured or older. Breakfast had a good selection and could be brought to the room or eaten by the pool. On the first morning, we arranged to take ours away early, but it wasn't ready because staff hadn't arrived. We asked to have it delivered later, were told it would be, then returned to find it hadn't come. After we spoke with staff, they brought it up. A bit of miscommunication, but it got sorted, and breakfast by the pool the next day was good. The staff were kind and accommodating throughout.

The accommodation itself was comfortable, but the staff service let us down several times. When we arrived, the automatic door wouldn't open. Nobody offered help with our luggage, so we pushed it from the van to the residence ourselves and waited outside for about two minutes. After a long trip, that didn't feel like a warm welcome. Later, our Grab fare was 36,000 IDR and we only had a 100,000 IDR note. The driver couldn't make change, and the front desk said they had none without offering another solution. My husband had to search nearby shops while the driver waited outside. My children accidentally kicked their ball out of the pool area. We told the staff, but they just pointed outside and sent the kids to look for it themselves, even though we didn't know the area. That felt especially unsuitable for young guests. We enjoyed the place, but the lack of attentiveness affected our stay.

Everything was great, from room service to the meals, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Thanks to all the lovely staff for making us feel so welcome. Service was 10/10. The accommodation was reasonably priced and close to everything. I'd happily recommend Sara Residence to anyone looking for a place in Bali.

We spent 11 days here as a family of four, and the quiet atmosphere suited us perfectly. The staff were fantastic, always friendly and helpful, and happy to chat when we got back from a day out. The pool area was pretty and relaxing, and there was a great food court next door. Our room was clean, if a little dated. Breakfast options were very limited, especially for anyone with dietary requirements.
