The location was good and the air conditioning worked well. Everything else seemed fine at first, but the toilet made a loud noise after flushing from midnight. It sounded like there was no water, and it kept pumping for a few minutes. The sink also had no water, and it was still that way the next morning. I was glad I’d only booked one night and could check out very early for my flight. The bed and pillow smelled moldy, and the pillow cover had turned yellow.

I was supposed to stay six days, but we left after two, which was already too long. The listing bore no resemblance to what we found: broken walls and sheets that hadn’t been changed between guests. If you’re sensitive to humidity, don’t stay here. The musty smell lingered in the room even after I used half a bottle of perfume. There were cockroaches and bed bugs. The managers spent more time on a deckchair and cleaning their car than dealing with requests. The booking listed drinking water, a kettle, tea and coffee, and a fridge. I had to ask for the fridge, and the one they brought was in bad shape. They said the other missing things weren’t their problem. After I explained we couldn’t stay in those conditions and called agoda to arrange an exchange, the owners started treating me badly. I only wanted to tell them the place wasn’t suitable for me. I believe most of the glowing Google comments are false, written by friends or locals who live there. This place didn’t suit tourists, especially anyone wanting good service. At $23 a night, you can find much better a little further away. Avoid it. It’s a complete scam.

We were right in the middle of everything, with the beach an easy walk away, so the location was perfect. The owners were friendly and accommodating. They helped us rent a scooter at the best deal and sorted anything else we needed. They even drove us to our next destination for a small charge. The room had a fridge, the aircon worked perfectly, and it was cleaned nearly every day. The pool looked lovely, though unfortunately we didn’t get to use it. We’d stay here again without hesitation.

A nice option for a short stay, with a pool and a clean room. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Finding it can be tricky since it’s tucked down an alley, so go slowly or you might miss it like I did. Otherwise, it’s a good place.
