The Banyumas Suite Villa Legian

We loved it enough to add another week to our stay. Pande and the team were friendly, always smiling, and ready to help. The villa’s quiet setting was great, while still being close enough to get around by scooter. We’ll definitely be back.

The place was filthy and poorly maintained. There was dust on the fan and a gas leak. The pool area felt unsafe too: the edges on the steps were sharp, and we were injured while using them. Staff were polite and helpful, though, and it’s conveniently close to town. The kitchen cupboards, bathroom, and wardrobes need a proper clean, and the pool step edges should be made smoother to prevent injuries. This felt unsafe.

We’ll definitely stay here again on our next Bali trip. It’s easy to walk to places from this good location, the rooms are spacious for families, and the private pool was the best part. Staff were always keen to help and did everything they could to make our stay nice. Thanks to the whole team. I’d recommend it to families.

The villa is close to the main high street, so we had easy access to food, with Mcds and Starbucks nearby. Reception staff were welcoming, and our room was cleaned daily. But we were disappointed by how small the villa felt compared with the photos. The TV was awkwardly placed, facing the person on the right side of the bed, and the sheets had small stains even though they were changed daily. The walls had bubbles and cracks, which felt off-putting for a 4* resort. For the first five minutes, the shower water smelled like sewage. Reception said that was normal in the area because it’s near the beach, but I don’t believe that explanation. We avoided the pool because we were concerned about its water standards. I’m shocked this is rated 4*. It felt more like a 2* resort, and we found out at the end that we could have stayed at Marriot Court yard for the same price.
