Seiryu Villas is handy for nearby shops and restaurants, right in central Seminyak. The private villa layout looks appealing, and the private pool with an open-style bathroom makes a pleasant space. But our experience didn't match what I'd expect from somewhere positioning itself as five-star. The design is attractive, yet service and maintenance were below what we experienced at other properties on our Bali trip. Some maintenance problems weren't properly fixed, and the information about breakfast options was unclear. Staff presentation and professionalism also didn't feel in line with a five-star establishment. There's no on-site restaurant, which matters if you're expecting full-service hotel amenities. Some things shown in the promotional materials weren't available during our stay, so reality didn't match expectations. It may suit travellers looking for privacy and a central location, but anyone expecting comprehensive five-star service and facilities should consider that carefully.

My wife and I loved the stay overall, and the service was amazing. The area is safe and great for walking to bars, restaurants, or the beach. The TVs have Netflix and screen mirroring. The only issue was the toilet drain and low shower pressure.

The location is good and the staff are friendly, but these villas feel old and aren't five-star. We stayed for a week over New Year's Eve and had several disappointments. The toilet, bathroom sink, and shower head all leaked. We asked for repairs, but the leaks continued. The shower area looked old and dirty, and the deck boards were rotten. The breakfast menu was very limited, as were room service and its menu, and there was no room service after 6 pm. The bedroom TV wasn't a smart TV. The woman delivering breakfast never knocked and just walked in. On the days we ordered breakfast, what we got was warm bread, not toast. Most days we ate out instead.

The Seiryu is a lovely place in Seminyak, with a great location and a really quiet atmosphere. The villas are very spacious and well kept, and the staff are friendly. They even helped me after I left when I realised I'd forgotten something in my villa. Warmly recommended!

Dinner was the standout for us. They set up a beautiful scene for a memorable evening, and the meal was delicious. Breakfast was just as impressive, with the best flavours we've had in a long time. From arrival, the friendly, respectful staff made us feel right at home. The room was beautifully designed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean, including the pool, which was lovely for relaxing. The staff were professional and attentive to every detail. We had an amazing visit and can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!
