Vansari Hotel

The staff are the biggest asset here: friendly, never pushy, and quick to go out of their way when you ask. They brought extra coffee and stored my bag for eight days while I went on an island tour. I’ve stayed here probably five times or more, and the location, price, and room condition are a very good combination. It’s a quiet spot off the street, just a minute’s walk from all the action. The ground floor rooms seemed a little bigger and better for only a bit more money. The bedding is good, the air-conditioning is excellent, and there’s a full double wardrobe. The pool is smaller but gets full sun all day, and it was mostly empty when I was there. The one letdown is the shower: there’s no curtain, so the bathroom floor gets very wet. I put the bath mat outside the room to dry my feet. There’s no breakfast or restaurant onsite, but plenty of options are within a five-minute walk, including Bintang supermarket. The hotel has a deal with next door restaurant "Blooms" for 10% off, and I loved having breakfast there in my pajamas. The beach is a ten-minute walk, with shops, market and restaurant stalls to browse along the way. Make time for at least one sunset there, it’s magic. For a three-star hotel, it’s fantastic. If you want luxury, you’d need to spend another $200AUD a night, and might end up with a compromised location. Recommended, yes. I’ve already booked my next nights there in Feb 2026.
