Villa Poppy Legian

We’ve stayed in Villa Karma and Villa Poppy, and we’re looking forward to coming back to Villa Ibu this October. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the villas are serviced beautifully every day. They’re close to the beach and to all the great restaurants in Legian, so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them if you want a lovely, convenient location.

The one thing I’d ask about before booking next time is whether there’s construction nearby. Workers were building a new villa right beside ours, and the banging woke us early each morning. The waterfall over the pool softened the noise a little, and that was my only concern during the stay. Otherwise, our first Bali trip was a lovely experience, and I’d definitely book Villa Poppy again. It was spacious, with plenty of room, and the pool was a welcome way to cool off on hot days and evenings. The cleaning ladies kept it immaculately clean every day, and the pool cleaner came daily too. It’s an easy walk to the Legian shops. Madete, the manager of the group of villas we stayed in, gave us a warm welcome. He met us at the airport in his well air-conditioned van and was available throughout our stay whenever we had questions.

The manager and staff kept the villa very clean and did everything they could to make our stay go smoothly. It’s a self-contained place, tucked away from the lively street but close enough to walk to a local eatery, pub, or quiet coffee spot. The villa could use a bit of an update, but we enjoyed our stay.

The location was just right, close to everything, and we absolutely loved our stay. It’s a private, roomy villa with all the facilities and a pool. Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff were great.
