I loved the sounds around Mejan homestay: insects, running water, frogs, and all kinds of birds from the rice field next door. The owners are so friendly, and the location feels divine. The room has everything I needed: good AC, a closet, mosquito net, and lots of windows with curtains. The shower has its own walls, so the toilet stays dry. But the bed was the best part. I've never slept in a more comfortable one, and all four pillows were just as cozy. It's very cheap for such a good place. Whenever I'm in Balian, I'll stay here.

Mejan Beach is only a five-minute walk away, with glittering black sand and a lovely spot to watch sunset. Balian Beach takes about 15-20 minutes on foot, or three minutes by scooter. The homestay is beside the rice fields and far enough from the main road to feel quiet and serene. Putu, the owner, looks after both the house and her guests with such care. She made the stay memorable with her warm, loving nature. The bed is comfortable, the air conditioning is strong, and the location is perfect. This is one of my favorite places in Bali so far. I'd absolutely recommend it and stay again!

Putu welcomed us with so much care and was attentive and easy to reach. The place is wonderfully peaceful, set among rice fields with adorable animals around, puppies, ducks, chickens, and cows. Even so, the rooms were completely quiet. The sea is only 200 meters away. Our room was clean and comfortable, with hot water and AC. It was perfect. Thanks again, Putu!

After our long trip, we got there and the owner said the Homestay wasn't on Agoda. I sent proof of the booking, but she said she hadn't received it. I showed the proof again, and then heard there was an agent, or a bug in Agoda, blah blah. Then suddenly the place was on Agoda. She politely told us to book somewhere else, saying it wasn't her fault or her business. Ridiculous.

The owner is always helpful and keeping things tidy. The place is super clean and comfortable. Cute dogs nap by the door, and the kittens are always up for cuddles.
