The rooftop is a nice spot, and staff said they sometimes put on acoustic music or a DJ for events. I was curious about De Paris Hotel's new building from 2023, so I stayed there in Medan. The lobby made a good first impression, spacious and clean, with a fresh minimalist look. My room was modern, tidy, and comfortable too. Parking was pretty tight, which made coming and going inconvenient. The biggest letdown was getting charged for a pair of hotel slippers I hadn't taken. My shoe size is 48, so I couldn't use those slippers, let alone take them home. The facilities and atmosphere show promise. I hope they improve the amenity policies so another guest doesn't have this experience.

The location is central, breakfast was good, and the price was decent. The hotel was accommodating about changing my towels and cleaned the room when I asked. It didn't really feel like a 4 star place, though. I asked for an early check-in and they couldn't do it. During my two-day stay, water clogged in the wash basin and the lights flickered. The room was really small as well. They fixed the problems, but having to keep contacting reception was annoying.

I'm in the final two nights of a seven-day stay in Medan, and this place has been great. Friendly staff, good amenities, and foreigner friendly. I'd recommend it if you're looking for somewhere away from the city noise.

Mr Andre, the front desk supervisor, and the FO team, Irvin & Dhita, were very friendly and helpful at De Paris Hotel. I'll stay here again when I'm back in Medan in the near future.

Getting to my vehicle in the rain was very difficult because there isn't enough parking coverage. Parking itself is insufficient, and the hotel is in a remote location. The rooms are ugly and small, even the suites, and service was slow. It took almost an hour just to get pizza.
