I ended up staying here for over a week, and it was one of my favorite stops on the whole trip. The road there is gorgeous, and it’s where I learned to ride a scooter. The dorm area is nice and quiet, everything was clean, and there’s an outdoor kitchen. The bed is really comfortable and they have lockers. I just wish there were a hammock, then it’d be perfect 😃

The outdoor shower was a highlight. Taking a shower under the open sky feels special, and the whole place has a peaceful, relaxed feel surrounded by nature. The team and owner were always friendly and helpful. Renting a scooter was easy and uncomplicated, so we could explore the nearby restaurants, massage places, and little shops without fuss. We also really enjoyed our surf lesson, it was professional and fun. Great value, and we’d love to return one day, hopefully with better weather 😜 Thanks for everything!

The hostel is very clean, and someone comes by to clean the whole space several times a week. The four-bed dorm is roomy and comfortable, and stays cool and quiet at night with the fans. The kitchen and shared areas are great, though it’d be nice to have salt and oil for cooking. It’s about five minutes by scooter from the main surf spots. Sup is really nice and gentle, and I recommend taking surf lessons with him. The price is amazing.

The jungle feel made this one of my favorite places I’ve stayed in Indonesia. I had a great time in the four-bed dorm for several nights and wish I could’ve stayed longer. The owner and staff are warm, kind, and happy to help with whatever you need. Thanks, and see you next time!

I spent six months at Jungle House Surf & Stay in Medewi, and it felt magical from the start. The relaxed atmosphere and the team made it feel like home, with a nice mix of adventure and downtime. Sub is a wonderful host and a passionate surf instructor. He knows the waves in Medevi better than anyone, teaches patiently and professionally, and helped me improve a lot. Learning from him felt like learning from a friend. Lia keeps the place clean and organized, and her care makes everything feel fresh and welcoming. Whenever a small issue came up, Sub and the team dealt with it right away. I never had a complaint, and they handled everything with care and efficiency. The location, hospitality, people, and surf lessons made this one of the best experiences of my life. 10/10, and I’m coming back. If you want to surf, relax, and be part of a great community, this is the place.
