Kanten Sweet

Being stranded in the rain and cold with kids and no hot water was really hard. We had a taxi booked for the morning, and the small instant heaters could barely provide enough for one shower. There was nobody around at night, which felt scary when we were the only guests in the four cottages. Staff were unhelpful, and the receptionist couldn’t understand English. They don’t provide room service, and even getting drinking water meant arranging it ourselves. The room itself was spacious and okay, but tucked away with poor access, so you need a bike to get around. It’s cheap, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I’d look for somewhere near the harbour, where restaurants and places to eat are close by.

The little houses were comfortable and very nice for a holiday. Our room was cleaned daily, and the staff were attentive to guests. Everything worked out perfectly. This was the best place we stayed during our two weeks in Bali, and I highly recommend it.

The bungalows feel modern and very new, and the people were friendly and accommodating. It’s quiet here, yet markets and an ATM are just a short distance away. The location sits between the port town and the beaches, with the beaches on the other side still easy to reach.

The rooms were neat and clean, and I had nothing to complain about. Nusa Penida location-wise, it’s nicely between the port and the other beaches, not too close to either.
