The Sriwijaya Hotel

Last March, I stayed with three friends while visiting Padang. I accidentally left my late mum’s blanket behind when we checked out, and asked the hotel to keep it for me. Three months later, a friend picked it up, and it was still clean and undamaged. The staff greeted him with a smile and asked, ‘kapan mas mau datang lagi ke sini?’ Thank you, Sriwijaya Hotel Padang. Your service was an absolute pleasure ❤️

Close to both the beach and the airport, so it worked well for my business trip. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and it felt family-friendly.

This is a really good, family-friendly hotel, with very good food and service. It feels like home because it began as the owners’ large family house, which is still occupied and never empty. They turned it into a hotel called the sriwijaya because they wanted to keep the family home. The owners also want to maintain an Islamic concept, hoping for blessings in their efforts. I’d give it five stars 😊👍🏻

It felt more like staying in a boarding house than a hotel. On my first visit I was already uneasy, and over the last few days my friend also felt uncomfortable when the owner's mother kept walking back and forth while we were breaking our fast. She watched us, and it seemed like the CCTV was running. As a Loyal Sriwijaya customer, my advice to the hotel owner's mother is to stop pacing around like an ironer 😁. Before she stayed at the hotel, checking in wasn't very comfortable either. Since then, there have been so many rules that we felt like we were just staying as guests in someone's home. Nex should think twice about staying here again.
