The room was very small and not very clean. I could only watch about two TV channels. My ground-floor room had a living room area right outside, where someone was playing games at 7:30 in the morning, and no staff member told him to stop. In the room next door, work with an electric drill and hammering was going on at 10 at night. The street is quiet and the Wi-Fi is pretty fast. Still, I’d rather pay a little more for a much better room somewhere else.

It’s a clean, tidy budget hotel, and the staff gave us a friendly welcome. The location deserves the most credit, you’ll love it. Food lovers are in heaven here: you can find everything you want to eat on Bangka Island along this street.

The price is very reasonable for what you get. It’s easy to reach and close to restaurants, so I’d recommend it to backpackers.

Hotel Wongso is good value for a stay right in central Pangkal Pinang. Local food spots are all around it.

It’s a nice, inexpensive place, and the hot water is a plus. The free Wi-Fi is really fast, but the equipment seems poor and there’s no bandwidth management, so the connection can be hard to keep stable.
