The location is handy, close to lots of cafes and restaurants, but the place didn’t look as good as the pictures. We were put in a different villa from the one we thought we’d booked, and it wasn’t as nice as the one we wanted. The pool was dirty. We asked twice for it to be cleaned and were told it was clean, and that the dirt and stains were part of the tiles. There was little to no sun in the courtyard. The spiral staircase to the upstairs bedroom was very steep, with a dangerously low handrail. The bathroom felt old and worn, and the hot water ran out after one person showered.

The owners and staff really made the stay. I’ve tried both Dukes and Tiki House, and each time the place was spotless, laid-back, and had what I needed. Such a great spot.
