Kubu Kangin Resort

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the price for what you get is spot on. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and you can refill your water bottle as often as you want in the breakfast area. The landscaped garden surrounds several spacious bungalows, each with a large, comfortable outdoor bathroom. There’s also a great pool for cooling off, and scooter rental is available. A wonderful resort, highly recommended.

We booked just one night and could easily have stayed much longer. The room was huge and very clean, with a mega-comfy bed and a small, well-stocked fridge. The pool was lovely and clean, with a few sun loungers to relax on. We got a lovely welcome drink, the gardens are stunning, and the staff are super friendly. We’d absolutely recommend this resort if you’re heading to Amed.

A driver is available on site for tours and transfers to other hotels, which is handy. The gardens are lush and clearly well cared for, and our big bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. There wasn’t much to do in Amed during rainy season, and with no Grab at all, getting around was difficult. If you’re going diving or the weather is better, I’d really recommend staying here. And if you see Lucifer, give him some cuddles. He’s a very sweet cat who just wants to sit together ♥️

The property looks beautiful, and the employees were really friendly, but many of the services listed weren’t available. There were no toiletries apart from handwash. We’d brought shampoo and conditioner, so we could still bathe. There also weren’t any sockets near the bed, despite what bookings.com says. The open bathroom had mosquitoes in it. With so much news about people getting Dengue, we were worried about using it, and I think we got bitten a few times. At night, noises from lots of different animals and birds made it hard to sleep. We weren’t satisfied with our stay at Kubu Kangin Resort.
