We booked three nights but left after only three hours. The hotel wouldn’t agree to the partial refund we asked for, around 50-75%. I wish I’d checked Google Maps reviews first. The place felt abandoned: a dirty pool with lots of flies, peeling paint, dust, a filthy gazebo with cigarette ash and food crumbs, and a dark hallway that looked like a creepy hospital. The room had an old floor, broken table, mirror frame and closet, and ugly curtains with mold. The bedcovers looked clean, but after lying down my skin got so itchy that I suspect bedbugs. The toilet and living room were stuffy too. The building felt old and fragile, which made the deposit and the 70 fines for damaged room amenities seem less surprising. Nor was I surprised by the no-cancellation, no-refund policy, since the hotel doesn’t seem to sell out much. This ruined my holiday.

I stayed five nights and had to change units three times because of bad smells. The bedroom ceiling and air conditioner leaked, and there were other odd problems. The bathroom smelled like pee, as if it wasn’t being maintained or cleaned. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in the rainy season because the place floods.

Even at the price we paid, this was overpriced. Internet barely reached one or two bars through most of the unit, except one room, and kept disconnecting or not working at all. The rooms smelled of urine and mold, and mold was growing on the hallway ceilings. When we arrived, the door handle was coming off and the door could simply be pushed open. We had to ask for it to be replaced, and the sink needed fixing too because it was coming loose. Outside, the wooden platform near the gazebo was falling apart and dangerous. Room service stopped coming after my family drank the four bottles of water each day, I’m sure. We had to request service, water, towels, and toilet paper. One staff member was especially kind and helpful, and I wanted to tip her. But they wouldn’t return my deposit without the receipt, which I couldn’t find. I apologized to her and said the others were stealing her money, then left her a tip away from the rest of the staff. Don’t stay here.

Things seemed to get worse by the hour. The rooms smelled bad and sloped to one side. I ordered bottled water, but nobody brought it, and the Wi-Fi quit working at night. Come here if you want to regret your choice.
