The batik workshop was one of the best experiences we’ve had. It was creative, fun, and really memorable. We also loved how peaceful the village felt, while still being well connected to Yogyakarta. The staff made the stay especially welcoming, always warm and helpful, and communication was quick and easy before and during our visit. Our room was cozy and very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the well-kept pool was a highlight. Everything felt cared for. We had a wonderful time and would happily come back.

We liked the tasty breakfast and clean, well-equipped rooms, and the owner was helpful arranging transport and a batik art class. They also accommodated our dietary needs. The village is quaint and seems lovely for a family. As students, though, we would have preferred to stay closer to nightlife. Still, no complaints from us, 10/10.

The village is beautiful for a walk or run, and the warung was good. The homestay is quiet and tucked away, a nice place to rest. Staff were friendly, and there’s a swimming pool. Our room was clean but a bit small, and the bed was too soft for us, though manageable. We liked the outdoor bathroom, but the shower has no roof, so you have to wait when it rains. They provide caping hats for the rain. Call the homestay for directions, since Google Maps takes you through small alleys.

The breakfast was fantastic, with typical Yogyakarta food, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a clean, well-maintained room that was plenty big, with a good outdoor bathroom, hot and cold shower, and nice amenities. The guest house has a quiet village setting where it’s easy to connect with local people, yet it’s about a 15-minute drive to downtown Togyakarta and near Malioboro street. It’s a private guest house built in a Java style bungalow. Recommended if you want a village stay in Yogyakarta.

We enjoyed walking around Tembi village, and the setting felt private. The rooms and breakfast were fine. The staff were warmly hospitable, and we liked the cat too, Cici & Cemong.
