RedDoorz near T1 Juanda Airport

The AC was so loud that I had to sleep with headphones on, and you have to ask before they give you the Wi-Fi password. The room itself was basically a biohazard, despite what the website photos suggest. There was mold on the walls and in the bathroom, dirty sheets, pillows, towels and walls, a bathroom mat that was literally rotting, and dead insects in every corner. The front desk gave me a key for room 29, even though they don't even have rooms numbered 26 and up, then just handed me a different key. Don't come here.

For an airport transit stop, the location is handy: it's close to Terminal 1 (T1) Juanda Airport Surabaya, with an indomart right across the street and parking available. The place also goes by "Pondok Inap Shofwa 2". Staff are friendly and there around the clock. My room was fairly spacious, with a clean floor and bed, and the air con worked well. Wi-Fi is available, as are liquid soap, toothpaste, a toothbrush and a towel. The bathroom was the weak spot: the walls and water closet had crusty stains, and there was rust around the shower spray. The flush and spray still worked, but I could feel dust underfoot, and the water heater didn't seem to work while I was there. Still worth the price for a transit stay.

There were lots of mosquitoes and the room was a bit dirty. I asked the front desk guy for mosquito spray, and he literally stood there waiting while I finished spraying it 😭 It felt kind of scary. I couldn't use the shower either.
