Please don’t book, we were scammed! We booked through Agoda and arrived to find nobody there, so we called the owner. He said he wouldn’t give us a room unless we paid him 100k per night in cash. We got him to come so we could talk face to face. He kept saying he couldn’t receive money from Agoda and only accepted cash. At first we believed him and planned to ask Agoda for a refund, then pay him in cash. For the refund, we needed some proof, so we asked him to message us confirming we hadn’t checked in or used any services. He refused every time. After talking it through, it became clear that Agoda sometimes offers the accommodation too cheaply for him, depending on demand, so he wanted more money. We got neither a refund nor a room. Maybe it would work if you knew about this and paid cash from the start, but we don’t want others ending up in the same situation and losing money too.

I had a horrible experience. I booked through booking.com and my payment was charged and accepted, but when I arrived they wouldn’t let me in. They said they don’t work with that application and I’d have to pay another 100,000 IDR to stay. The owner didn’t open the door, so we dealt with everything by phone. When I said it wasn’t fair to charge extra after I’d already paid, he said it wasn’t his problem and hung up.

For such a low price, the rooms were fine. The owner was super friendly, looked after us, and even invited us to a local event on the spur of the moment. He really tried to make our stay a good one. Thanks!

The room was awful, dirty and moldy, and the sheet smelled bad. The bathroom water smelled like corrosion and was horrible, so I didn’t dare shower there. I bought water instead.

Hahaha, what a weird hotel. They wouldn’t let me check in at 11 pm even though I’d just arrived after a long trip, saying late check-in wasn’t allowed. Then they told me the room was full. Helloow, why sell it if it’s full? I’d already paid. This was my worst hotel booking experience, friends. Really not recommended :)
