Happy Syariah Hotel

The place is hard to find: it's behind an abandoned house, down a small, dark road to the hotel and kos kos an. The building is on the ring road, which has no lighting, so if you're going out around Jogja, I'd get back before dark. These days, riding a motorcycle near the ring road doesn't feel safe because of begal. There was also noise from people coming and going late, with some still chatting until midnight. Very annoying. I booked through a travel platform and paid 100K a night. At around that price, the room is affordable. It has AC, a TV, hot water (though only a little), towels, and soap. The parking area is spacious, and there's a beverage stall by the check-in counter. The room was pretty dusty and needs sweeping, and the bathroom smelled really bad. For the price, my experience was 3 out of 5. If you need a budget hotel, it's an option.

The location on ring road Utara is something to be careful about. My two nights at this hotel/Oyo were rough, and my room was filthy with dust. There was a cemetery and an unfinished house nearby, which made the surroundings pretty creepy. Not for the faint of heart.

So far, so good 👌👍 The place was clean, the staff humble, and it was cheap. I think management could add some bathroom kits for guests, though. That'd be good 👍
