Hotel O near UGM formerly Bayang Brothers Guest House

Everything apart from the price issue was tolerable, including the service. What I didn't like was being asked to pay an extra charge at the property. They should list the real price instead of making the OYO price lower. Honestly, that feels like fraud. I'd change my rating if they committed to showing the actual price on the hotel's own site.

The room itself was just so-so, but fine. The problem is that if you book the cheapest rate, the receptionist may ask you to pay more, saying "oyo forced them to put a cheap price". That's total BS. If you cancel, you lose the money you already paid. What a waste 😪.

I booked and fully paid for a room for my driver through Agoda, with the booking and price confirmed. At check-in, the staff, or maybe the owner, demanded extra money and refused to let my driver in unless we paid. She said we could cancel instead, which wasn't really possible at check-in time. Other reviews described the same thing, but unfortunately I saw them too late. It happened to us as well. I'm writing this to help prevent more people becoming victims, and because this also reflects badly on Jogja. OYO and Agoda should remove this property from their listings, since the owner puts the blame on OYO. This was a VERY BAD experience 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡. There's a water feature outside that masks a lot of the usual hotel noise and gives the place a relaxing feel. The rooms are spacious, neat, and clean. Andi, who runs the place, speaks good English and can suggest places to visit. There's plenty of food and drink nearby, and the location is convenient for visiting the temples.
