The staff were friendly and quick to help, and the room itself was okay. It’s an older hotel in a somewhat inconvenient location, though. Noise from the excited family next door came through, so the rooms need better soundproofing. The ceiling already has mold and needs attention. Breakfast was a little odd for the morning, at least for me, though the omelette tasted good and the menu could be improved.

The room and bathroom were both huge, and the food was good. The staff were kind and helpful, especially when my family asked for an early dinner for the children while the restaurant was busy getting ready for a gala dinner for other guests. Getting to the hotel surprised me: the road is very steep and dark. The weather up there is nice, even without AC.

It was a little stuffy at first without air conditioning, but nighttime was fine. The room and bathroom are spacious, and the pool was clean and in decent shape. The building is old and a few areas need renovation, though they do keep it clean. Wi-Fi needs work, since working from home was difficult. Outdoor cafes nearby, including Surya, get loud at night, so the hotel should consider soundproof windows. The staff were friendly, and they lent me a basketball when I asked.

From the balcony, the sunrise view is the best in Tretes. The location has good value and could make this a top five-star hotel, but the property needs more maintenance: there are ceiling cracks, dust along the walls and on the lamps, and the exterior needs patching and repainting. They could also use more staff, perhaps a bellboy.
