Adi Bisma Inn

Adi Bisma Inn was a great base for our two weeks in Ubud. It’s on a quiet little turnoff from a lively street full of restaurants, massage places, and shops. In about five minutes on foot you’re at the main Ubud roads, with tourist attractions and everything else close by, but without the noise where you stay. The hotel is beautiful and very well cared for. Our room was cleaned each day, with fresh linen and towels, and everything we needed was provided. Staff were attentive and kind, and the whole place felt calm and welcoming. We’d absolutely stay again.

We stayed for five days and really enjoyed it. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and the pool was spotless, with nice surroundings for relaxing. The people were lovely and clearly tried to make our stay pleasant. Breakfast was delicious too, with four options to choose from. Thank you!

The room was the big disappointment. We booked through booking.com three months ahead but were given a much smaller, dark basement room with no view, despite it having a balcony. We were told the same photos, showing their best suite on the top floor, are used for every room. It wasn’t a terrible room in itself, but that felt misleading, so I’d give the room two stars. The service deserves five. Desak spoke good English and was friendly, attentive to details, and always smiling. Breakfast had a limited selection, but everything we tried was good, and the pool was clean and nice. The hotel is in a quiet spot, about a 25-minute walk from the city centre and close to the Monkey forest. The room was a letdown, but we still had a great time.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, and the staff were nice. But it’s not a room I’d spend much time in. There’s no TV or phone, just one small chair. On the third floor, the Wi-Fi kept cutting out. No hand towels, the toilet wasn’t fixed properly to the floor and made the bathroom stink, and the cupboard door was broken. The front sliding door kept jamming too. The dusty AC barely cooled the room. At breakfast I got toast, but there was no butter.
