The design and concept are appealing, so that earns a star from me, but the hotel needs better maintenance. For the state of the rooms, the price feels far too high. It presents itself as sustainable, yet basic cleanliness seemed lacking: the curtains didn't look properly cleaned, the bed canopy was dirty, and there was mold in the bathroom. Insects and mosquitoes got into the room because the insect nets didn't offer enough protection. The curtains also weren't long enough to cover the doors and windows. It's a fair distance from Ubud Central, and the access road can be difficult, particularly on a two-wheel vehicle.

For the price, this was the worst place I've stayed, especially compared with other properties in the same range. They explain every inconvenience as “sustainability”: there was no AC or hot water shower, the amenities were terrible, and the room didn't even have entertainment goods. Sustainability and regenerative businesses are fine, but comfort and safety should come first, and I didn't get those here. I strongly wouldn't recommend staying unless you're obsessed with the cult called sustainability.

It's quiet and relaxing because it's a little way from the center of Ubud. This eco-friendly hotel served fruit and even welcome drinks. I'd definitely like to return.

The property is gorgeous, the staff are warm and friendly, and the amenities went beyond what I expected. I found it inspiring to see regenerative living put into practice. The fans kept the room cool enough at night, and I didn't miss having AC.

A peaceful, restful place. The villa was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well looked after. A lovely spot to stay and unwind.
