Alaya Resort Ubud

I loved having a patio at the back of my room, opening onto the little rice terraces. I even spotted a Javan heron there. The room itself was huge, with a really big shower, and the grounds were full of well-kept plants and wildlife. There are lots of dining options, and the location makes it easy to walk to everything. The set Balinese dinner was a highlight, with a variety of dishes that tasted fantastic. The staff were very attentive too. I’d recommend staying here.

The spa was fantastic. I ended up going several times. Everyone on staff was polite and helpful, and Arya was especially kind and accommodating as a tour guide. I’d give him ten stars if I could. Such an amazing resort, one of the best places I’ve stayed. Don’t miss it.

My wife and I became ill after climbing Mount Batur and spent two and a half days in bed. We needed to extend our stay, and the team made that simple. Reception checked in with us daily on WhatsApp and quickly arranged doctors to come to our room. We’re deeply grateful for the care and support, which helped us recover quickly. The staff made us feel at home from the start, always greeting us warmly, whether with a good morning or a welcome back after a day out. Nothing felt like too much trouble. We’ve travelled all over the world, and even though this was our first Ubud visit, this is easily among the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are great, and you can walk to the Monkey Forest, shops, and restaurants. A huge thank you to the whole team. God bless you all.

Sumi, our waiter, was the best! The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, respectful, and so helpful, and we really appreciated the attentive service in our room and around the resort. Our spacious room had a soothing feel, with a mix of traditional and modern Balinese design. The green garden around the hotel added to the peaceful atmosphere. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. We’ll be back.
