I’ve called Budi’s guest house home for the last three months. The street is quiet and mostly for pedestrians, though scooters can pick you up, and you can walk to the main attractions. There’s great food nearby, plus yoga on the same street, massages and courses. The rooms are spacious and clean, and Budi’s family are welcoming and always ready to help. It’s very affordable for the area, too. As a solo traveler, I appreciated that Budi would check on me if he hadn’t seen me in a while. He and his family also looked after me when I was sick. I honestly wouldn’t choose anywhere else.

Breakfast is included at a reasonable price, and the place is really quiet. My partner Mandy and I have stayed here for the past few nights, enjoying the jungle view from room 8. The AC and Wi-Fi both work well, and Budi was helpful in arranging a ride for us. It’s an easy walk into central Ubud, and we’d definitely stay again.

The location is fantastic, close to the bank and all our favorite vegan and vegetarian places, but still peaceful and only five minutes from central Ubud. The pool looks just like the photos, and breakfast is a good-sized plate of fruit, a hard-boiled egg and a waffle sandwich. Coffee and tea are available, though I didn’t see milk. We had the jungle-view room with a small balcony, king-size bed, shower and tub. Ask for that room, as there are several here. The Wi-Fi was good and the AC strong. The host Buti was honest and helpful, even giving us a ride when we couldn’t get a scooter. I gave four stars because the room was musty, though incense helped, and it could use fresh paint. Cleanliness could be better. For the price, location and great service, I could let that go. It was still cleaner than most places in Ubud!

Budi was warm and friendly, and a really interesting person to talk with. The garden has a lovely feel and the place is very quiet. The bathrooms are basic, but fine for the price.
