I found this place while searching for a room within my budget. Mine was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the garden. A nice surprise, especially on this trip, was having hot water in the bathroom and all the amenities at this price. The area is close to the main road and its activity, yet the stay itself felt cozy and quiet.

We had a great family stay in this older but lovely accommodation. The shared garden is beautiful, especially for the price, and this end of Ubud is nice and quiet. Getting into the monkey forest is somewhat inconvenient, but it’s a treat to spot monkeys coming onto and over the nearby wall.

The grounds were beautiful, and the rooms are a great size, with big beds and good doonas. They were a bit damp and musty, but the price was great. It’s on a lovely, quiet street lined with cafes.

We came as two families, 11 people in total, and stayed for three nights in three two-bedroom villas. The price was cheap, so we weren’t sure what to expect. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though nothing fancy. Service was neither amazing nor terrible, but the value made this a five star stay for me. The location was superb, on a quiet but funky street on Ubud’s outskirts, with great cafes and restaurants nearby. It’s also a short walk into town using the shortcut along the edge of the monkey palace.

The pool was the best part for me: clean and a good size. I also loved the quiet spot in Nyuh Kuning, close to the monkey forest, with some really good cafes and restaurants on the street. The room was cleaned every day, which I appreciated, and the bed had a mosquito net. There was a big balcony with a comfortable daybed, too. The low price made me pretty happy with the stay, even though the older rooms upstairs are quite run-down. The bathroom was the worst I’ve had in Bali because the shower sprayed across the room and flooded the floor. At least the toilet flushed. I’d recommend breakfast at Black Sheep or Bali Bohemia, my favorite place to eat in Ubud.
