Happy Inn 2

A very basic hotel, as the price suggests, but the bed was comfortable and breakfast was included. There was good wifi, air conditioning, and a swimming pool. Restaurants and shops are a short walk away, and at night it was quiet with no traffic noise. A great option if you’re on a small budget.

We liked Happy Inn 2 so much that we booked a couple more nights for after our side trip. The family were lovely, very friendly, always available, and extremely helpful. They found us a screwdriver for a broken suitcase, arranged a bike for five days at a good rate, and stored some bags while we were away. It’s close to the Ubud hub but tucked down a quiet laneway. The place is inexpensive, very clean, and well looked after. Our spacious room had a table, a huge firm and comfortable bed, a good-size fridge, plenty of power points, filtered drinking water, and a huge bathroom. The shower pressure was good, the air-conditioner worked well, and there was a ceiling fan. We also had a big furnished porch just a few steps from the clean, refreshing pool with lounges. The pool sits in a beautiful, well-maintained garden. Breakfast is included, with simple, delicious choices, and the eggs were perfect every time. They also offer inexpensive laundry service. Highly recommend, especially for the price.

The friendliness and information they shared were as good as I’ve ever come across. Breakfast was included and great, and the place is close to the Ubud hub while still secluded and quiet. We were lucky to have extra nights available when we returned from Amed. They rented us a moped at a very good rate for four days and kept our bulky baggage until we got back.

A peaceful, relaxed stay with a swimming pool, within walking distance of the restaurants and bars in central Ubud. Fresh breakfast is included, and it’s easy to order in the morning with a WhatsApp message to the friendly woman who owns the place.
