The quiet setting in Bali’s green rice fields made Joglo Organik feel like a little escape from Ubud’s busy side. I found the café tucked off the main road, surrounded by birdsong and a breeze moving through the palms. I had pasta and coffee. It was simple food, but somehow tasted extra special there, maybe because of the view or the calm feeling of the place. Everything felt slow and mindful, and the food was fresh, organic, and made with love. It’s a lovely spot to journal, relax after yoga, or just enjoy a mindful meal. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud who wants to experience another side of Bali beyond the tourist buzz.
We had a lovely time at Joglo. The view is amazing, and the staff are really friendly. The breakfast and other food were very good too. Getting there means taking a small road that’s easy to walk along. If you’d rather not, the hotel can pick you up by scooter. It’s nice being close to Ubud while still having Bali’s peace and quiet.
That was such a lovely first stop in Ubud, I’d happily recommend it. The place feels tucked into lush, almost jungle-like nature, and our clean, pleasant room opened straight onto the pool. We ate really well at the restaurant, and the gentle Balinese music at breakfast made it especially cozy. Every staff member was warm and helpful, and the owner was cheerful and always ready for a laugh. When our luggage arrived late, they helped us sort it out and arranged transport. Getting around was easy too: someone was always available to pick us up or take us on a scooter, with WhatsApp making it simple to arrange.
Getting there takes a little planning: cars can’t reach the guesthouse, so it’s a 6-7 minute scooter ride or a 20-25 minute walk along a narrow path. The staff offer free rides from 7am to 10pm. My first trip on a scooter in Bali felt a bit hair-raising, but I got used to it quickly. Once there, it’s a peaceful place with lovely views over rice fields and farmland. The standard rooms were comfortable, with good bathrooms, working AC, cozy beds and mosquito nets, though I never spotted a bug indoors. The private villas have pretty pools and look out over a hilly stretch of neighboring hotels and guesthouses, which was scenic when lit up at night. One small thing: my laundry came back slightly damp, so leave time to dry it before wearing or packing it.
Waking up on the secluded terrace to crickets and chickens, with the quiet rice fields around us, felt like a little glimpse of everyday Bali. There’s also a small, refreshing pool. We stayed for two comfortable nights, and the staff really went out of their way: they decorated our room for our honeymoon, helped us find somewhere nearby to print documents, and surprised us with a convenient scooter shuttle into Ubud town. A wonderful stay, thank you!
