Ojeks Homestay

Laundry was quick and actually smelled nice. The homestay itself is an easy place to stay in Ubud, good value for money. Nothing fancy, but not too basic either. The showers are okay and the bed is comfortable, which is pretty much all you'll use the place for while you're in Ubud.

The staff were friendly, and the homestay was tidy and clean. The location is good, close to the city but quiet, and for the cheapest price we paid, the room was fair. Shared bathrooms had hot showers. Our room was very basic, a bit small and dark, and the window wasn't easy to open or close. We had noisy guests next door, which was annoying, though that's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was okay with a good variety, but the portions were a little small compared with other places in Bali. Tea and coffee weren't included, and there were no towels.

The owners are lovely and helpful, and the water dispensers are a great bonus. We both thought the garden, atmosphere, cleanliness, and breakfast were perfect. The place has a really nice, relaxing energy, though the rooms are very small and dark, the bathroom is extremely basic, and there's quite a strong damp smell. We're a couple, and we came away with different opinions. One of us wouldn't return because of those room problems, despite the lovely atmosphere. The other would definitely come back for the relaxing feel, while still accepting the rooms' flaws. We'll leave the decision to you.

The place felt peaceful, and even the cheapest room I chose was spacious enough for me. The shared shower had hot water, too. It’s lovely if you want to get a feel for a Balinese home. So beautiful.
