I was unsure about booking because the reviews were mixed, but after checking in I could see that they’d clearly made improvements to the service. The villa is a bit old, but it does the job. It’s on a small road that cars can use, a little away from the streets, so it stays quiet from vehicle noise. The AC takes a while to cool the room, though it gets there. Mr. Made, the caretaker, was possibly the best we’ve had during our time in Bali. We’re glad we stayed four nights. Thanks, Mr. Made!

The butler was really polite and helpful, and the activity brochures in the living room were useful for tourists. The villa could work well for a longer stay. There was a hole in my pillowcase and bugs on the bed, though. As usual, basics like mineral water and toothbrushes weren't provided.

Our butler made everything easy, from arranging a scooter so we could explore to setting up visits from a masseuse and beauticians. Breakfast was provided, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nicely presented, and the pool was lovely and clean too. We stayed three nights in July 2018 and loved it. We knew it wasn't in the middle of Ubud, which was exactly what we wanted, and we'd definitely stay again.
