Villa Bungsil Gading

The beds were the best, big and comfortable, and the owners and staff are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. The rooms are exceptionally beautiful, with rice-field views and a lovely walking trail nearby. One of the owners was an art and antique dealer, which shows in the rooms. I didn’t swim, but relaxing on the brand-new leather cushions was lovely. The air conditioning was strong, the hot water was great, and breakfast was cooked and nice. I liked the ornate mosquito nets, though I never saw a mosquito in my room, unlike at most places I’ve stayed in Bali. Five stars doesn’t do this stay justice.

I’ve been here more than a week and love how peaceful it is. Walking through the fields is beautiful, my room is clean, and the staff make sure I have what I need. As a solo traveler, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re after somewhere safe, quiet, and clean. I ride a scooter, and the center is very close.

It’s a relaxed, homey place among the rice fields, yet really close to the markets and other things. The location felt perfect and peaceful for me, and I enjoyed the breakfast each morning. I had a pleasant stay and would come back for the great value. The room was bigger than I expected from the photos. I liked having a bath, and the terrace was nice. My only small complaint is that the bathroom and a few parts of the room could have been cleaned better, but it wasn’t a major issue. I’d recommend staying here. Thank you :)

The staff were very friendly, the beds were comfortable, and for the price I felt it was worth it. Breakfast was included and was amazing, especially the banana pancakes. I enjoyed my stay overall. It’s a nice little villa area at the end of a dark street, and it can be a bit hard to find. The main approach is a walking street with businesses and markets open in the daytime, but not much happening at night. My room had no TV, which was fine, but the bedding looked old and had some stains even though it was clean. My room, and apparently one other, didn’t have a safety deposit box. Only some rooms do, which seems odd. The doors don’t lock very well, so lock up your things and ask for a room with a safety box if you need one.
