The peaceful rice field setting was still close to Ubud Center, and we felt safe with staff around 24/7. We stayed two nights earlier this month as a Filipino married couple celebrating Valentine's Day early, and our Agoda booking turned into a lovely stay. Check-in was easy, we got welcome drinks, and the morning receptionist and other staff were warm, professional, attentive, and spoke excellent English. They handled our requests quickly. Our villa was roomy, clean, and comfortable, especially the soft bed with its fresh smell. Breakfast was nicely prepared and tasted like high-end hotel food. WiFi worked reliably and the amenities were complete. We did see a few centipedes, mostly by the pool and the outdoor bathing area at the back, probably because of the natural surroundings, and the bathtub could use some updating. Those were small issues beside how much we enjoyed the stay. It was worth the price and exceeded what we'd expected. We'd happily return to Villa Kayu Lama when we're back in Bali. It seems suitable for couples, families, business travelers, and solo guests. Highly recommend it!

The motorbike we rented directly from Villa Kayu Lama was in great shape, and getting it was straightforward. It made exploring the area easy. The villa was spotless, comfortable, and well kept throughout our stay. Staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help, and the food was fresh, delicious, and varied. I'd recommend it for a relaxing, well-run stay in Bali.

Merry Christmas from our family from TONGA! We were staying nearby at Asri Sari Villa, about a five-minute drive away, and came to this restaurant. The front desk lady was kind and helpful, spoke English perfectly, and had two cooks working that night. I ordered lots of dishes and they cooked and served them quickly. If you're around here, give it a try. They have good Western and local food on the menu.

The food came with the stay and was served in our room. It looked lovely, and dinner tasted good with a generous portion. I especially recommend trying the local dishes. The villa was just the right size for two, charming, and in a quiet spot away from the busy streets, which is part of the appeal of Bali. Staff were courteous and friendly, service was good, and someone was on duty all night, though the physical security setup didn't feel very complete. There were insects and geckos at some times of day. They seemed mostly harmless, so you have to get used to them. Ubud is a nice area, and I'd keep this place on my shortlist for a return.

The quiet setting among rice terraces was lovely, and the free shuttle to and from ubud was useful. We spent six nights in Villa 5, which had everything we needed, including our own pool and plenty of privacy. The whole place was very clean. We had a small ant problem in the room on the first day, but the staff sorted it right away and we didn't see any more. Everyone was polite and attentive, and took care of whatever we needed. Breakfast, dinner, snacks, and lunch all tasted great. Thanks for making our stay unforgettable. D & S
