Wana Karsa Ubud Hotel

The room looked nowhere near as good as the photos, and I was really disappointed. Hygiene was the worst part: the blankets were dirty, and lots of insects came from the toilet area into the room. Some were dead on the bedsheets, and the toilet wasn't separate from the room. There was a damp smell too, though the perfume and air conditioning masked it when you first walked in. Half the room was still under construction, which gave it Breaking bad vibes! Edit: I asked to change rooms, and the staff were very nice and polite about it. They moved me to another room.

Our superior room was lovely, and the grounds were clean and well kept. The staff and rooms were great. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the monkeys are just a short walk away. My only issue was the steps, which are big.

We stayed a few nights and extended twice because they were so accommodating. Everything looked just like the photos, and it was relaxing and well maintained. The room was super clean, staff were lovely and helpful, and the water was always replenished. It's very central but still nice and quiet, less than a minute's walk from Monkey Forest. I'll definitely stay again when I'm back in Ubud.

A good hotel that's surprisingly quiet right in the middle of the city. They also decorated for our special occasion, which made it a lovely surprise. Highly recommend!
