The Cabin Hotel

I don’t get how this place has good reviews. I stay in lots of hotels, and this was the dirtiest one I’ve ever stayed in. Over two days I saw 3 cockroaches in my room. The toilet was dirty, and there was black mould throughout the bathroom. The sheets had stains, including blood stains. Management clearly needs to learn about bleaching sheets. I left a nearly empty coffee in the room for 8 hours and came back to about 50 ants around it. It also seemed like they only swept the rooms and didn’t mop. I know it’s a cheap hotel, but if management can only make a profit by neglecting cleaning, they shouldn’t be running a hotel. Don’t stay here.

For under 200 thousands, it’s pretty good. The room was clean, and the toilet had a wastafel. There was enough space for one person to pray, plus there’s a musholla outside the room. Breakfast was filling and tasty, though a little spicy. The downside was that they didn’t provide extra water with breakfast. There’s no parking lot, apart from space for a limited number of motorcycles, so it’s really only good for pick-ups.

The location near Malioboro is pretty strategic, and the AC, wifi, and hot water all worked well. The bathroom had a slight smell, though. I pointed out a stain on the blanket and said I didn’t think it was newly cleaned. The receptionist explained that it was new and had just been changed that morning, but you can judge it for yourself. There was a stain on the pillow too. For the price, it was a decent deal for one night. If they took more care with cleanliness, this would be my favorite place to stay.
