Cashel Town B&B

The shower kept switching between hot and cold, and we could hear the couple next door having their full conversation. People were ringing the doorbell at 3 in the morning too. For €120 a night, it was a really terrible experience and I definitely don't recommend it. The beds had scrapes, and there were strange quotes written on the bedroom walls. Check the attached photos. It felt eerie and a bit traumatic, without wanting to sound too dramatic. It was the worst place we stayed. At least it'll be a funny memory in a few years, because it was truly that bad.

There's no parking right outside the B&B, but the town car park is just a few minutes' walk across the road. Everything's close by on foot, since it's just off Cashel's main street. We felt incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Our family room was clean and comfortable, and the place is very well maintained. There are plenty of cooking facilities if you want to make food.

The young woman attending to us was very nice, and the one egg at breakfast was good. Breakfast had to be requested, though, and some items were still frozen because he hadn't known we wanted it. There was no way to select it or pay extra for it online. We also had no heating. The attendant came to check, but nothing changed, even though heating was listed as a facility. There was some mold in the shower and on the bathroom door, but it wasn't too bad. Definitely overpriced.

My top-floor room had an ensuite and was really pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows. It was nice, just not as polished as a five-star place. I'd recommend it.
