The Dean Cork

There’s a bar right by reception, a nice place for a few good pints and a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were cosy, comfortable, and well designed, and the hotel’s location made it easy to get around Cork city. I stayed at The Dean Cork recently and had a great time. Just be aware that the hotel asks for a €100 security deposit at check-in. Apart from that, I really enjoyed my stay.

The shower was a highlight for me, and the shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing. My hair still had the scent days later. A small detail, but it made the stay feel special. My husband and I came to Dean Cork for a short city break and were very happy with it. Booking was simple, our room was ready when we arrived, and it was clean and comfortable. The staff were warm and welcoming. Everything was within walking distance, so the location was great. We’ll be back in Cork soon, and the Dean will be our first stop.

Refined place with a great vibe, and the food and bar are excellent. Best value hotel in Ireland, maybe the world. My stay isn’t finished yet, but a lot would have to go wrong now to change my rating. I’d only ask that the gym open a little earlier.

We went for my birthday meal on 9/5/26, and the whole family left disappointed. The menu, cocktails included, had changed, and there was very little choice in the food. Some ingredients for cocktails were out of stock. My partner ordered tea and got a mug with a big chip in it. When he asked for a replacement, they gave him a little coffee cup instead. This restaurant used to be top class for food and drinks, and the staff were always friendly, professional, and smart in their uniforms. Saturday evening felt only a small step up from McDonald's, but it was extremely expensive and definitely not worth it.
