The Gateway Hotel felt modern and had a lovely vibe. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Maggie in the restaurant. She was kind and welcoming and really made the trip extra special. My boyfriend and I loved our stay, and we’ll 100% be back!

Breakfast was absolutely beautiful, dinner was super, and all the staff were very friendly. But at 458euro for two nights b&b per couple, it felt extremely overpriced for the location, especially since it isn’t even in town. For that cost on a weekend, we thought there might be entertainment, but there was none. They only had the restaurant with bar service, so it wasn’t really a bar. At 11pm you have to leave while they prep for breakfast, and then wait for the night porter to get drinks. We had to sit drinking in the lobby, which was very drafty in November. Given the price and distance from town, we probably wouldn’t return.

We had a nice view and parking was very easy. Our room was lovely, the bed was really comfortable, and the temperature inside was great. Dinner at the hotel was super tasty. Would stay again!

I had a business lunch meeting here recently. The location, just off the motorway, was ideal. The staff were very accommodating and the service was excellent. Everyone complimented the food.

We stopped here on our way back down the coast, and the stay + dine package had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with modern, luxurious amenities. The restaurant was top quality. A great stay for a good deal.
