On previous visits to the Clybaun Hotel, I’ve always enjoyed the great rooms and lovely location. This time, though, the way staff treated my family was unacceptable and made the whole stay uncomfortable and upsetting. From check-in, one staff member was rude, suspicious and extremely disrespectful, even though we hadn’t caused any problems. When I asked to speak with someone else, I was told that wasn’t possible. That response says a lot about the customer service. The experience ruined our trip. We’d been thinking of joining the gym, but we won’t return or spend any more money here. I don’t recommend staying.

The room was well maintained, the location was great, and the shower pressure was good. It would’ve been better if they’d asked permission before taking a copy of my ID. Restaurant service was just OK. We ordered a goat cheese salad and prawns as starters. The salad was delicious, but I didn’t care much for the prawns. We still had a pleasant stay.

We had an amazing stay over Valentine’s Day and would definitely come back next time we’re in Galway. Rohan at the desk was especially friendly, and thanks to all the staff. The restaurant and bar were very nice too. It was a lot nicer and better value than places in the city.

Ivan at reception greeted us warmly and set a great tone for the stay. The hotel has lots of amenities for a great price. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, and breakfast was very good. A great stay.

We came for Sunday carvery lunch at the restaurant, not as hotel guests. The dining area had a lovely atmosphere, and our family of seven enjoyed the meal. We sat in a little alcove right beside an atrium. The food was delicious and the portions were so generous I couldn’t finish mine.
