We couldn't get a good night's sleep because guests and owners were loud during the night. The room also felt crowded and hard to move around in, even though it was listed as suitable for limited mobility. The shower head had black gunk on it, which made us worry about what was on there. One of the owners was really unfriendly and seemed fixated on us paying in cash. We weren't prepared to do that since the website said card payments were accepted.

We stayed four nights and enjoyed the visit, though it felt a bit expensive compared with more comfortable hotels we'd booked elsewhere. Galway is a short drive away. The guest lounge is available for reading or watching TV, and coffee, tea, and Wi-Fi are free. The Wi-Fi signal was good. Breakfast is served in a pleasant, sunny room. There was freshly made toast, eggs, bacon, and sausages, while the rest of the continental-style options felt rather bland to us. I won't blame the landlords for Irish breakfast habits, though. The bedroom and bathroom were clean where it mattered, but a closer look turned up dusty corners, such as on the bedroom lamp. The en-suite bathroom was small.

A tidy guesthouse with lovely staff, a central spot for getting around Gailllimh, and a calm feel at night. I'd definitely stay again :)
