The location is very convenient for the hospital, and the host kindly let us leave our car outside for a few hours. The shower worked well, which I needed after the smell of cigarette smoke got into my skin and hair. Breakfast was OK, but the beds weren't comfortable. When we arrived, the window was open and the room felt cold. It smelled of cigarettes, but since it was late evening we decided to make do. The top of the chest of drawers was covered in talcum powder, and the small but adequate en-suite hadn't been cleaned either. There was grass and dirt on its floor. That night I realised the sheets themselves smelled of smoke, apparently from the previous guest. On our way out the next day, I remembered something and went back upstairs. I saw the host had remade the beds without changing the sheets. That meant me, the previous guest, and at least the next guest would have used the same sheets. I won't stay again. I don't want to pay for a dirty bed.
