The junior suite upgrade turned out to be a tiny, dark accessible room, nothing like the photo I was shown. I paid extra based on that picture, and then had to wipe up water on my hands and knees after every shower because the accessible shower left the floor wet. They'd only given us two towels. When I raised it at checkout, they refunded $3.57. Staff kept saying they had to make certain types of rooms available, which had nothing to do with what a junior suite upgrade should be. They were rude, and it was an awful experience. I'd never stay there again.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and breakfast was a nice extra on both mornings. We had a fantastic weekend thanks in part to the location directly across from the winter festival. It was a wonderful experience.

I'm still thinking about how nice the Hardiman was! The room was the best hotel room I've ever had, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. I'm usually not comfortable in classy places, but here I felt at ease. Now I want a robe like the one in my room, fancy tea, and fancy chairs for my office. Haha, apparently I'm a fancy man now. Next time I'm in Galway, I'm staying here again!

We stayed two nights starting on the 26th and got upgraded to a junior suite. The staff were fantastic, and the food was lovely. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Our room wasn't ready at check-in, so the staff kindly brought our bags up once it was. They were friendly and very nice throughout. We had breakfast included, with a decent buffet plus a few things you could order from the kitchen. The standard double was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a very large bathroom, but no fridge or AC. We visited in September, when temperatures ranged from the high 30s to the 50s, and the room felt toasty at night. We could hear footsteps overhead, so noise-sensitive guests might not love it. The Hardiman is well placed for walking to Galway's main attractions, and I would definitely recommend it for a business and pleasure stay.
