The Nest Boutique Hostel

The cafe served the best chai we’ve ever had, and we loved the decor and the feel of the cafe and sitting area. We stayed at the Nest for two nights as a couple, in a double room. It was quiet and cozy, and we felt safe. The staff were friendly too. The only downside was that the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

The staff were polite, but that didn't make up for what we got for €122 a night. There were no basics in the room: no hairdryer, glasses, water, or toiletries, and the heating barely worked, so we were cold all night. We had booked a double but got two single beds pushed together that kept sliding apart. The bathroom door ran into the bed and couldn't open fully, and the shower was tiny. They also wouldn't let us check in a little early, despite the five-hour gap between checkout and check-in. Nearby hotels were €83 and included coffee, water, chocolates, and even separate shower and toilet facilities. This place felt like a rip-off. Avoid.

We found The Nest lovely. Our twin room matched the photos, with really comfortable beds and a large bathroom. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and breakfast was a good start to the day. One useful addition to the directions page would be the bus number. Taking the bus is so much easier and cheaper than a taxi.

We had a fantastic night here. The room was large and very clean, with an open shower that worked well for disabled access. The hostel itself was lovely, the staff were friendly, and there’s a great coffee shop on the ground floor. One snag when we left: the lift doesn't open until 7am, so my partner had to carry all our bags down three flights of stairs. Still, it was a great stay and I'd come back.
